The shocking death of John M. Stillwell while impersonating Santa Claus at a Christmas gathering at Geneva, Ill.
John M. Stillwell was impersonating Santa Clause at a church festival. His costume caught fire from a candle and Stillwell was fatally burned. There was quite a panic in the church, several women and children being badly bruised in the scramble for the door.
